What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

It boosts

The amount of upgrades you perform will determine the amount of extras you will receive. Each upgrade will boost the corresponding extras by increments of 1, up to a maximum of three. Each upgrade will also boost the main stats by +1.

In addition to the stat increases, some upgrades will also give a random secondary boost. These boosts can be quite useful and should be taken into consideration when deciding which items to upgrade. Certain boosts can only be used in specific builds (such a Whistan's Shield for FB Sorcs) Some are beneficial to collectors.

Some items have a built-in boos that is not beneficial when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap offers an additional potion slot. They are usually upgraded to increase the value of an item that is perfect or close to being perfect.

Costs

Upgrades come with certain costs associated with them. The most significant cost is the upgrade itself. The cost is based on the new level of the item and the amount of perks it gains, and can be expensive. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the cost of materials required to upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these materials needed can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it can take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the new ilvl of the item upgrader Kit bonuses, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important stats. In some instances an upgrade items may grant additional perks. These perks are listed on a table.

In rare instances the upgrade will only replace the most expensive benefits. The upgrader could also make other adjustments to the item, like changing the type of damage it deals to its weapon, or adding or eliminating an operational or unwieldy option. The cost for these modifications is based on the new ilvl of the item upgrading, and may require a special substance like adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

Item upgrades are based on the chance of success, and as with any random system, there is the possibility that the upgrade won't be successful. There are a few ways to increase the chances of success. This includes the use of an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity or the addition of additional items to the upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity is available through the NPC for crafting in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade's success by some percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus that some items have, but is more solid. This can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used three times.

It is also possible to add a range of additional elements to the upgrade, thereby increasing its chance of success. These materials are displayed in a window located above the + button. There are some limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.

A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version can be used to boost the odds of an upgrade being successful. This item is helpful when you own a weapon or piece of equipment that has reached the highest level for its tier, or is close to it. It allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next level without risking it breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful the system will be returned to its initial state. This is typically a break, but it can also be an upgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you reach the highest level for an item.

Kafra has a number of items that can be used to increase the chance of an upgrade being successful. Failure Rate

The upgrader of an item allows players to add a second slot on their equipment. The slots can be used to upgrade an item upgrader kit or apply an enchantment. It is important to keep in mind that not all items can be upgraded. The rank of an item will determine the speed at which it can be upgraded and enchanted.
